It doesn't look particularly exciting, but above is what is currently left of the Berlin wall. A couple of weeks ago, Andy, Shannon, Josh and Coy set out on our very own European groupie tour for our favorite alt-country artist, Ryan Adams (think "New York New York" - not so much "Summer of '69). Anyhoo, we flew to Berlin, took in some quick sightseeing (The Wall, Checkpoint Charlie...) and caught Ryan's show at the Tonhalle in Berlin on Friday night. He was amazing. And we got right up in front of the stage. It was the greatest concert EVER. :)

As if that wasn't enough to quench our neverending Ryan Adams thirst (who plays on our iTunes on what one can only call - a constant stream), early Saturday morning we rented a car and Coy preceded to drive the 500KM's from Berlin to Munich in just under 4 hours...I slept in the back of the car out of sheer terror. Don't worry moms, we were the slowest drivers on the Autobahn...sort of reminded me of my mom going 45mph down I-5. Only difference being we were going 180km/hr (roughly 120mph) with oncoming traffic flashing by in our rearview mirror and rattling the car as it went by.
We were just in time to catch a quick dinner at Hofbrauhaus in Munich (and just in time for Kacey and Nicole to join us), then on to Ryan's Saturday night show...again amazing, and completely different from Friday night as he played more of an acoustic set the second time...(believe me, if we could've made Amsterdam on Monday and Dublin on Tuesday to round out the Euro-tour, we certainly would have!)
Below: The Spedometer...

In the end, we took the train home (played cards in the dining car the whole way to Zurich) in true John Candy fasion, turning it into a "planes, trains and automobiles" holiday...
