Croup

I was JUST telling someone the other day that Hadley had never really had a fever before apart from the occassional 99 something while teething.  I spoke too soon, that is for sure.  For the past three mornings the poor little thing has woken up with a temp of 103 and coughing and wheezing so bad it is just heartbreaking.  We visited the Dr. THREE TIMES before someone finally agreed, yeah this is beyond a normal cold.  Poor thing has croup :(  Fortunately we are over the worst of it (after a dose of steroids to help her breath better) and she only gets a little worse at night - by the afternoon she's back to her normal smiley little self (apart from her seal bark cough).  Unfortunatley, we are highly contagious over here - we're both covered in snot and I can already feel my sore throat setting in.  Mama & Hadley have had a rough week - let's hope we're just getting it all out of the way to be super healthy in May when the baby arrives!
