Alki

We celebrated Coen's 2 week birthday with Margaritas on the patio down on Alki. Yes, that is a photo of me drinking a margarita and nursing at the same time.  Our first two weeks with 2 under 2 has gone really well, it has helped that Andy is off work until after the big move. It's actually been a blast wrangling the kids all over town (we've been to brunches, lunches, dinners out, the zoo, the outlet malls to score some new furniture for our new place, and we've managed to pack up nearly our entire house all with the two kiddos). Despite getting a little less sleep than usual, it seems like our family was always meant to be just like this.  Coen is a super sweet baby, he is just a dream.  Hadley is taking really well to him, at first she didn't realize he was a "kid" and was whacking at him every chance she got. But we went through all his body parts (nose, eyes, toes, tummy etc.) and that seemed to help her realize he's alive - now she's very keen on "holding" him (with assistance) and gives him kisses and says hi whenever she sees him. She seems to like him thankfully!  I want to enjoy every minute of his newborn-ness, but I'm also excited to see them chasing after eachother and becoming friends.

What fun! Cute nursing cover ... and it matches the margarita perfectly!! YUM! Emma has taken to carrying beer and seltzer around the house lately and even taking a sip of my iced lattes. :-)
Thinking of you guys!
XOXO,
Janie
